The first thing people see in your profile is your photograph. You want to make a good first impression right? Here are a few tips for you to pick that perfect picture.
You can add more than one photo to your profile, so if you want to add that "crayzee" night out with friends shot you can, just don't put it as your main picture.
So, what’s an acronym? It’s a short version of a phrase that usually contains the first letter of each word within the phrase. They have been around since, well, forever, but were particularly brought to the fore in the 1970s and 1980s with the advent of newspaper lonely hearts ads, as each word cost money and potential suitors wanted to keep their costs down! Nowadays, text speech contains many acronyms (as well as other bizarre shorthand words) so we’re all pretty used to them, but do you know what they all mean?

Here at Belfast Dating we’re always hearing from former members who’ve been successful on the site and have found what they were looking for, whether that be a soulmate or a new best mate, plus those who just want to tell us what a great time they’ve had hanging out with other members.
Here are a few of the members who’ve been in touch with us recently:
I thought I’d never find love again after my divorce, but I’ve had such a great time this year on Belfast Dating! I’ve made lots of new friends and I think I’ve finally found my partner for life. Dan is so lovely, caring and understanding, we’ve seen each other every weekend this month and I can’t wait for next time. Thanks, you’ve changed my life.
People think its easy to meet someone when you’re still young, but it isn’t. I work really long hours and I’ve never had the energy to go out and look for love, but it’s so good to be able to sit at my laptop and chat in the evening. I’ve been chatting to a couple of great guys over the last couple of weeks, so hopefully soon I’m going to meet up with one of them as he lives really close to me. I hope that I’ll be cancelling my membership soon as I’ll have found true love – sorry!
I never wanted to use a big international dating site, I knew I really wanted to meet someone locally so I thought online dating wasn’t for me. However, since I joined Belfast Dating my mind has been changed and my head has been turned! I’ve met some gorgeous girls, just having fun at this stage but I feel pretty confident I’m going to meet ‘the one’ on Belfast Dating. But what’s the rush?!!
I’m writing to say thanks very much for all the support I’ve received from your site. It’s a great place to meet other singles, but the thing I like the most is that support is available 24 hours a day. I’m not very good with computers, but I really wanted to try online dating and I couldn’t have wished for more helpful staff. Oh, and I’ve met a gorgeous man from Ballymena into the bargain as well!
